Can I play alone or will I be paired with other players?

Ko Olina Golf Club reserves the right to pair you with other players when course conditions and capacity require it.

Are range balls included in the price?

Yes, a warm up basket of driving range balls are included in your green fees. A small basket of range balls (approximately 35 balls) is $5 and a large basket (approximately 75 balls) is $9.

Do you have any Japanese speaking staff?

Yes, we have Japanese speaking staff available throughout the day in our retail shop. If calling internationally, press “2” to speak to a Japanese speaking representative.

Do I need a tee time?

While walk-on players are always welcome, tee times are strongly recommended in order to minimize any inconvenience that waiting to tee off may cause.

Do you have rental clubs and shoes?

Yes, Ko Olina maintains one of the newest and best fleets of rental clubs in the state. Our rental fleet is new for 2015 and are TaylorMade Aeroburner Series woods and RSi1 irons in both stiff and regular shafts for men and women. Rental sets are $55/set for 18-holes. Do you allow five-somes?

Groups of more than four players must be approved by the professional staff. Keeping groups to four players or less improves the pace of play and helps keep rounds more enjoyable for all of our customers. We do not allow groups of 6 or more on the golf course at any time.

What is the expected pace of play?

Under normal circumstances, the expected pace of play on Ko Olina Golf Club is four hours and 20 minutes for 18 holes. Examples of abnormal conditions include days when inclement weather may cause delays, wet conditions may cause golf car restrictions, or a special event is playing the golf course.

What is your cancellation policy?

Tee Time Reservations must be cancelled no later than 24 hours prior to day of play. If reservation is not cancelled by this time, the credit card holder will be responsible for the full greens fees with the credit card being automatically charged.

Is there a practice range?

Ko Olina Golf Club has a full grass driving range, as well as a state-of-the-art artificial hitting pad.  We also have a full practice putting green, and short game area with 2 sand bunkers. The short game area is free to use if you have your own equipment.

What are the golf shop hours?

Golf Shop Hours of Operation:  6:30AM – 7PM, 7 Days a Week. Hours are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Do you have a dress code policy?

Standard Dress Code Policy – Proper golf attire is required at all times for all players and riders to include both collared and/or tailored collarless shirts for men and recognized golf fashion for women. Golf shoes with soft spikes or athletic shoes required. T-shirts, swimwear, tank tops or cut-offs are NOT appropriate attire.

What is the weather like?

Ko Olina is located on the leeward side of Oahu which is the sunniest part of the island. So many times, it can be raining in Waikiki, but still sunny at Ko Olina! See our Live Webcam for the current weather at Ko Olina!

How far is the golf course from Waikiki?

Ko Olina is located about 25 minutes west of the Honolulu International Airport and 45 minutes from Waikiki.

How can I get out there if I don’t have a car?

We are proud to provide FREE roundtrip transportation from Waikiki!
Booking transportation is simple and can be made when booking your tee time.  We do require transportation be booked at least 24 hours in advance.  Guests choose the best tee time for their schedule and we work around them. Simply request transportation when you book your tee time.  Transportation must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. We do not have a minimum number of golfers required for transportation, except for twilight tee times where we require a minimum of 2 golfers.

Can kids play?

Yes, junior golfers are welcome on our course. In fact, Kids Golf Free After 3 Everyday! Golfer’s ages seventeen and younger are considered juniors. Please limit one junior per paying adult. For golf earlier than 3pm, the junior rate is $60.

Can we play alone as a twosome?

Ko Olina Golf Club reserves the right to pair you with other players when course conditions and capacity require it. However, if you are a twosome we do offer the Exclusive Twosome Package where you can play alone for an additional $199. Please contact our golf shop for details and to book.

How far in advance can I book a tee time?

Off-resort guests can book up to 60 days in advance. Guest staying at any of the properties of Ko Olina Resort may book up to 90 days in advance. Kama’aina (locals with State of Hawaii ID) may book up to 30 days in advance. Large groups and tournaments may book out farther, please contact our golf shop for more details, (808) 676-5300.

Can non-golfers ride along?

Absolutely! Our non-golfing rider fee is $30 for 18-holes and $15 for 9-holes. We require this fee since riders are taking the place of a golfer, and typically would require us to provide an extra golf cart for your group.

How late can I tee off and still finish?

In Hawaii, the sun sets as early as 5:50PM in December, and as late as 7:15PM in June/July. With an average pace of play of 4.5 hours, you can tee off as late as 2:30PM in the summer, and 1PM in the winter and finish 18-holes. Twilight officially starts at 1PM year round for $139 and we cannot guarantee you will finish 18-holes before sunset.

Do you offer golf lessons?

Yes! The Ko Olina Golf Academy is the best place to learn golf on Oahu. We have a staff of 8 PGA Professionals and have been voted as a Top Performer in 2012 and 2013 by Play Golf America. Please visit our Golf Academy section to see our options for group and private lessons.

Do you accept group play, tournaments, golf outings, and shotgun starts?

Do you allow carts to drive on the fairways?

Yes we do. On occasion we do have to restrict carts to cart path only due to rain, or other weather related conditions. Also, we typically will restrict golfers to cart path only prior to the LPGA LOTTE Championship held in April, 2014.
